Webcam description

Harrachov (DE: Harrachsdorf) is a town in Krkonose (EN: Giant Mountains, DE: Riesengebirge, PL: Karkonosze), in the Czech Republic in the elevation of 665 m above sea level on the Mumlava river and lies at Certova hora mountain (DE: Teufelsberg, 1021 m above sea level). The town is bordering with Poland. In summer you can make a nice bike trip to Poland from Harrachov. The town became famous for its ski jump hills which started to arise in 1920. There is also K-185 – the tallest ski jump hill in the world. K-185 is one of the six giant jump hills around the world where the FIS Ski-Flying World Championships are hosted. There are several smaller ski jump hills K-40, K-70, K-90, K125 in Harrachov as well, downhill slopes and ski run tracks in winter and walking routes and mountain bikeways in summer. K-90 ski jump hill is open for jumping during the summer period.

In the native language of the webcam owner
V Harrachově je několik dalších menších skokanských můstků, sjezdové a běžecké tratě, v létě pak množství pěších stezek a horských cyklotras.
