Claviere is a "comune" (municipality) in the Province of Turin in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 80 km west of Turin, on the border with France. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 176 and an area of 2.7 km².All demographics and other statistics: Italian statistical institute Istat. Claviere borders the following municipalities: Cesana Torinese, Montgenèvre (France). Claviere is also a small, but well equipped skiing village with many 3-4* hotels with easy access to the slopes. The snow season lasts from December to about late January to Early February.
