Huslia is a city in Yukon-Koyukuk Census Area, Alaska, United States. At the 2000 census the population was 293. Geography: Huslia is located at (65.701858, -156.387134). According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 17.2 square miles (44.5 km²), of which, 16.4 square miles (42.6 km²) of it is land and 0.7 square miles (1.9 km²) of it (4.25%) is water. Demographics: As of the census of 2000, there were 293 people, 88 households, and 63 families residing in the city. The population density was 17.8 people per square mile (6.9/km²). There were 111 housing units at an average density of 6.8/sq mi (2.6/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 4.44% White, 93.52% Native American, 0.34% Pacific Islander, and 1.71% from two or more races. 1.37% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
