General

Implementation

You must send us a screenshot or video of your implementation of our API — along with the name of your app or URL for your website — to before you publish. We will use this to check if everything is in compliance with these Terms and Conditions of Use.

Hint: Please send us the screenshot/video as early as possible, since you want to have enough time to implement adjustments, if necessary.

Restrictions

You must use the webcams.travel API in a responsible way and you must not place the bandwidth of webcams.travel under an inappropriate load with the webcams.travel API. You may only use the data "as is" which is delivered by the API methods. If you wish to use additional data which is not available through the API, please contact us.

Warranty

webcams.travel does not guarantee that the webcams.travel API is free of errors. The webcams.travel API is provided "as is", and you use it at your own risk. webcams.travel does not guarantee that the webcams.travel API will be 100% available.

Termination

webcams.travel may terminate the API at any time for any reason. Your right to use the webcams.travel API will end at the point when webcams.travel publishes a notice of termination of the webcams.travel API. Your right to use the webcams.travel API will end if you violate the webcams.travel API Terms and Conditions of Use.

Images

You must display the images in the size in which they are provided or smaller (shrinking is allowed, stretching not).

For desktop & tablet (websites/apps)

Requirements

For every listed webcam you must link to the webcam page on www.webcams.travel (as provided by the API) at the end of your navigation hierarchy (e.g. thumbnail mouseover opens preview, preview links to webcams.travel). You must also provide a link to webcams.travel with the text "Webcams provided by webcams.travel" in the context of the displayed webcams.

Images

You may use all available image sizes provided by the API. You are not allowed to use any other sizes.

For mobile (apps/websites)

Requirements

For every listed webcam you must link to the mobile webcam page on m.webcams.travel (as provided by the API) at the end of your navigation hierarchy (e.g. icon links to thumbnail, thumbnail links to webcams.travel). You must also provide a link to webcams.travel with the text "Webcams provided by webcams.travel" in your Legal Notice or About section.

Note for apps:
It is sufficient to show m.webcams.travel within your app using WebView (Android), UIWebView (iOS) or similar methods without opening the actual browser app.

Alternative option for apps:
Alternatively to linking to the mobile webcam page, you can embed the timelapse slideshow (webcam:timelapse:link_embed) instead. In this case, you need to mention webcams.travel only in your imprint/about section of your app.

Images

The maximum image size you are allowed to use for your mobile app or mobile website implementation is the thumbnail size (128x96 pixel). You are not allowed to display any webcams in fullscreen. You need to link to m.webcams.travel for this purpose.
